Assad Boulos is a Texas entrepreneur who has owned and operated restaurants and shopping centers throughout the Houston metro area for more than three decades. As the president of ANA, Inc., he developed and acquired 10 retail convenience stores and shopping centers over the years. After getting into the restaurant business, Assad Boulos opened Cafe Byblos, which featured a traditional Middle Eastern menu and nightly music and belly dancing from 2008 to 2016.
Mr. Boulos closed Cafe Byblos in May 2016 to make way for his newest restaurant venture, Juan Parilla, which offers diners a unique Latin-fusion menu planned and prepared by Chef Angie. Since 2014, he has also operated Wasfi, a restaurant named for its noted chef, Wasfi Darabi, who has 30 years’ experience in the culinary arts.
Mr. Boulos completed his associate’s degree in business at South Texas Junior College in Houston. Active in his community, Assad Boulos supports Our Lady of the Cedars Church, where he assists in fundraising activities and serves as a member of a building committee that is creating a new school.
